The new QTAKE Pro update introduces several new features and improvements designed to enhance your workflow and productivity. QTAKE Pro 2.1 is available immediately as a free software update for all QTAKE Pro users.
Metal Support
The completely redesigned under-the-hood engine takes the performance of QTAKE Video Assist to an entirely different level. Efficient use of the GPU, faster and smoother rendering. The new Metal-optimized engine brings significant performance improvement and future‑proofing both for Intel and Apple Silicon Mac architecture.
Unlimited Dock
The newly redesigned Dock uses Bins as a source and allows storing an unlimited number of clips in multiple docks. In addition, the Bins can be shared with your collaborators over QTAKE Server or QTAKE Cloud Sync to streamline the production and make it easy for everyone to stay on the same page.
Media Management
No space on your storage drive? No problem. Seamlessly switch to a new storage volume or use multiple volumes simultaneously to handle huge projects without the hassle. The clip list function “Manage Media Files” provides a simple way to delete unnecessary local media files for selected clips or move them to another storage.
Enhanced HDR Support
Experience your QTAKE app in a new way! Enjoy the vivid, lifelike colors with HDR support in QTAKE UI. Moreover, with the new update, SDI monitors with HDR payload detection will automatically set the colorspace and other HDR metadata when connected to a QOD+.

QTAKE 1.6 Maintenance Commitment
We launched QTAKE 1.6 almost two years ago and refined it with multiple updates over time. We will continue to maintain the QTAKE 1.6 application until the end of 2023 to make sure the reported bugs are fixed. Moreover, we will soon introduce a new QTAKE Pro offer for owners of permanent 1.x licenses.
